Starting therapy can feel like a drastic decision – but it shouldn’t. 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health issue in our lifetime – you are just one of the few who are actively looking for help which is a really positive step; having a mental health issue and ignoring the problem is far more dangerous and destructive in the long run.

Cristalle is a professional psychotherapist with a wealth of experience in different psychological issues and their causes. She qualified as a therapist after a 5 year course from Regents University and draws from her diverse talents during her therapy sessions to help her clients.

Originally working as a teacher in secondary schools and within the music industry, she has gone on to become a published writer and professional psychotherapist with two practices in London. She has worked in private practice, NHS, charities and academic institutions as well as being a speciality therapist for music industry professionals (she is currently part of the Music Industry Therapist Collective).

She has a particular interest, and extensive experience in, working with adults who grew up with toxic, alcoholic, addicted, abusive, narcissistic, and/or absent parenting, as well as clients from a divorced background.

More recently she has been helping clients going through mid-life crisis’s and those struggling with hitting a new chapter in their lives, whether it’s still being single and without children, not being where you had hoped in your career or just feeling unfulfilled in your life.

Cristalle’s Therapeutic Techniques

Cristalle draws from a few different styles of psychotherapy to help her clients and will likely use a mixture of therapies that best suit you personally. She has professionally trained in:

Humanistic Psychotherapy

Humanistic psychotherapy aims to help you tap into your potential by focusing on personal responsibility and self-empowerment.

Person-centred Psychotherapy

Person-centred psychotherapy can help you gain trust in your own thoughts, feelings and decisions and ultimately focuses on bringing your focus towards the present rather than past or future.

Existential Psychotherapy

Existential psychotherapy looks at mental illness such as anxiety and depression as natural life stages that people can experience and offers insights and techniques to futher mature and grow as a person beyond these phases.

Psychodynamic Therapy

Psychodynamic therapy helps get to deep, unconscious causes of mental health problems, such as previous trauma or inherited poor coping mechanisms.

Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy

EMDR therapy aims to help you work through highly traumatic events in your life using specialist eye movement techniques while recalling traumatic imagery, with the aim of reducing the stress and anxiety these images trigger when brought up unexpectedly in day to day life.
